Incorporating the Cambs & Hunts Archaeological Society

The Proceedings of the Cambridge Antiquarian Society (PCAS)

Published annually, this journal presents articles and other items on a variety of topics for people with an interest in the history and archaeology of Cambridgeshire. You may contact the PCAS editor at editor@camantsoc.org

All but the last 3 years of PCAS are now freely available online via the Archaeology Data Service.

See the PCAS archive on the Archaeology Data Service (ADS) here.

The Conduit

Last published in 2020, the Conduit was a printed and, latterly, online guide to Cambridgeshire’s local history and archaeology organisations, societies, events and lectures.   This was compiled each summer as a free service offered to local societies and museums across Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire.

However, owing to the overheads in maintaining this and the very challenging circumstances of the last two years, CAS have ceased production of the Conduit from 2022, and replaced it with an online directory of local history and archaeology group websites, each of whom publish their own event programmes and contacts.   We will be reviewing other options on how we can collate this information in the future.

  • From time to time CAS is involved in the publication of monographs and other items. Some back numbers of the Proceedings, and monographs published by the Society are still available for purchase: see the CAS price-list (excel spreadsheet), but please note that postage is not included in these prices.
