Small Grants Scheme

CAS Small Grants Scheme

CAS operates a small grants scheme to support voluntary groups and projects wishing to undertake research and enhance understanding of Cambridgeshire’s heritage.

In recent years there has been an increase in voluntary activity within the fields of local archaeology and history, with new groups or existing groups expanding and their members making significant contributions to our understanding of Cambridgeshire’s heritage.

In support of this activity, CAS make available the sum of £1,000 per annum to be disbursed in grants to assist projects on local archaeology and history in Cambridgeshire, carried out on a voluntary basis by groups or individuals.  A maximum of £500 is available to any single group or individual.  Grants may be made for purchasing materials or towards publication, specialist study, illustration and/or presentation of results. Applicants must have been a member of CAS for at least a year; groups must be affiliated to the Society.  Grants will not be awarded to the same applicant in successive years.
